Hoag Health Center

As a part of the Hoag Hospitals long range plan to expand the availability of their high quality health care services, the hospital acquired an existing office park located just north of the main campus. Renovation of all the buildings, adding a new parking structure and replacing the existing landscape were part of the strategy to upgrade the image of the facility. Hoag's public image has always dictated a rich landscape expression, but as a part of an ongoing sustainability effort, they sought to maximize the efficiency of the irrigation. As a part of the effort to integrate the complex into a unified campus, major walkways were paved with unit pavers and enhanced concrete, a detailled signage program was carefully coordinated with the landscape and seating areas were created at strategic locations.
