San Manuel Village

A complex of buildings providing retail and commercial space in the desert community of Highlands, California, this project creates a series of exterior spaces, by closely integrating the buildings with the sloped terrrain. Native and Mediterranean plantings soften the retaining walls that are woven into the project. Boulders, exposed during the construction process, were relocated to serve as feature elements that relate to the existing desert landscape.
